Vogelherd holiday home

Attractive holidays in a historic Appenzell house in an idyllic location with spectacular views of Lake Constance.

The listed structure (known as the Strickbau, from 1750) is situated in the tranquil “Vogelherd”, close to the village. The spectacular view of Lake Constance is perfect for a rest (small garden next to the Luchtenbächlein stream and sunny seating area on the south side, with fountain). The section of the house is suitable for 4 - 5 people (max. 4 adults or school-age children).
Former pub room with historic cast iron stove and retractable window blinds serves as a living/dining room, three charming bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. Kettle barbecue, various garden chairs etc. available for use by the guests, parking space (not covered).
The “Witzweg” joke trail (very funny!) passes very close to the house. The other hiking trails of the hilly foreland, to the Biedermeier village of Heiden or to picturesque St. Anton, are also very attractive, as are excursions to Lake Constance – public transport connections are excellent – and, of course, a ride on the Appenzeller Zahnradbahnen cogwheel train (Heiden-Rorschach, Rheineck-Walzenhausen).
