Alpenrose inn

Welcome to the Alpenrose inn at 972 metres above sea level at the foot of the Hundwiler Höhe mountain.

Anita and Markus Tobler-Kegel are the second generation of the family to run this business. They have been in charge since January 2011. In 2016, the Alpenrose was completely renovated, with the Tobler-Kegel family making sure that none of the old charm was lost. The varied range of services includes food, three guest rooms and a small shop. A milk collection point is also located on the premises. The inviting garden terrace completes the experience, and the playground keeps smaller guests happy. All rooms of the restaurant and the toilets are wheelchair accessible.
During the summer, a barbecue area can be used on request, and in the winter the Tobler-Kegel family offers guided snowshoe tours with outdoor fondues.
The homely restaurant seats 35 people and the separate dining room can be booked for parties of up to 25 people. Guests will also enjoy the very special atmosphere of the traditional small shop.

Time is precious – enjoy the moment in the Alpenrose.

A short but exquisite menu is recommended at the weekends or for your private event. The Tobler-Kegels buy most of their ingredients directly from producers in the region. The Oertle bakery, Säntis butcher shop and florist Edith Zuberbühler are reliable partners of the Alpenrose, making it possible to cater for a variety of individual customer requirements.
