QUICK CHEESE SLICES

Toasted bread slices with melted cheese. Super quick and can be combined with pineapple and ham to make “Toast Hawaii”.
Preparation and cooking time: around 10 minutes

| 8 slices | white bread or half-white bread |

| 4 tbsp | milk or white wine |
| 150 g | Appenzeller cheese |
| 100 g | Tilsiter cheese |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1/2 tbsp | flour |
| 4 tbsp | milk or white wine |
| pinch of | paprika |
| 1/4 tsp | salt |
| pinch of | pepper |
METHOD
Preheat oven to 220 °C. Place bread slices on baking sheet lined with parchment, sprinkle with the milk.
Grate both cheeses finely into a bowl. Beat the eggs, mix with flour, milk, paprika, salt, pepper and cheese; spread evenly on the bread slices.
Bake for approx.10 minutes in the upper half of the oven.
- Toast Hawaii version: Place 1/2 slice of ham, 1 slice of pineapple and 1 slice of raclette cheese on the bread, garnish with 1 sweet cherry from a tin, patted dry. Bake as above.
