HAM AND CHEESE PARCELS

Savoury turnovers with sweetcorn and parsley. Makes a perfect starter or finger food.
Preparation and cooking time: around 20 minutes
INGREDIENTS FOR 16 TURNOVERS
80 g | diced ham |
---|---|
50 g | diced Appenzeller cheese |
50 g | sweetcorn, drained |
1 tbsp | parsley, finely chopped |
2 pinches | salt |
pinch | black pepper |
1 roll | of pasta dough (approx. 16 x 56 cm) |
METHOD
Preheat oven to 220 °C. Mix all ingredients except for the dough in a bowl. Roll out the dough, cut in half vertically and then cut into even pieces approx. 8 cm long and brush with water.
Construct the turnovers by filling each piece with 1 tablespoon of the filling, folding over diagonally and tightly squeezing the edges, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Bake for approx. 8 minutes in the centre of the oven. Serve warm.
- Tip: Can be prepared in advance. Freeze unbaked turnovers in layers separated by parchment in a freezer container. Keeps for approx. 1 month. To bake, place frozen turnovers in a cold oven and bake for approx. 12 minutes as above.
