HAM AND CHEESE PARCELS

Ein Rezept von Betty Bossi:

Savoury turnovers with sweetcorn and parsley. Makes a perfect starter or finger food.

Preparation and cooking time: around 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS FOR 16 TURNOVERS

80 g diced ham
50 g diced Appenzeller cheese
50 g sweetcorn, drained
1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
2 pinches salt
pinch black pepper
1 roll of pasta dough (approx. 16 x 56 cm)

METHOD

Preheat oven to 220 °C. Mix all ingredients except for the dough in a bowl. Roll out the dough, cut in half vertically and then cut into even pieces approx. 8 cm long and brush with water.

Construct the turnovers by filling each piece with 1 tablespoon of the filling, folding over diagonally and tightly squeezing the edges, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Bake for approx. 8 minutes in the centre of the oven. Serve warm.

  • Tip: Can be prepared in advance. Freeze unbaked turnovers in layers separated by parchment in a freezer container. Keeps for approx. 1 month. To bake, place frozen turnovers in a cold oven and bake for approx. 12 minutes as above.
