CINNAMON TARTE
Recipe supplied by a country woman from Rehetobel, handed down by an old aunt.

INGREDIENTS
1 portion | shortcrust pastry or puff pastry |
---|---|
200 g | sugar |
2 | eggs |
200 ml | cream |
2 tbsp | cinnamon |
1 tsp | ground cloves |
1 tbsp | cocoa powder |
1 tbsp | pear bread spice (Birnbrotgewürz) |
200 g | flour |
1 tbsp | baking powder |
3 tbsp | currant jelly |
METHOD
Roll out shortcrust pastry or puff pastry. Place in the baking tray (approx. 26 cm in diameter), spread jam on the pastry (optional).Beat sugar and eggs until frothy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread mixture on the pastry and bake for approx. 40 minutes in the centre of the oven.
