A wild gorge, gentle alpine hills and the Säntis
It’s a varied hike from Steinchräzeren down to Steinflue, and from there along the agricultural path to the Schwägalp. The first section leads along the gorge of the still untamed young Urnäsch river, then up to the foot of the Säntis over snow-covered alpine hills. The route crosses a “quiet zone” of undisturbed wildlife habitat, so hiking is only permitted on the marked trails.
