Free guided tour of permanent exhibition

This free public tour of the Appenzell Museum of Customs provides insights into the customs of Appenzell.

The living customs are the focus of the guided tour through the permanent exhibition. The main topics are the New Year's Eve haymaking, the Bloch, the alpine journey and the cattle show. The tour also offers insights into alpine dairymen's lives, rural living quarters, the world of traditional costumes, traditional workshops and folk art.
You can try out musical instruments, valley swingers and bell ringers.
