There are plenty of attractive destinations for excursions, for example a visit to the Biedermeier village of Heiden, a round tour including the «Witzweg» joke trail, two mountain trains and a boat trip, a visit to the small market town of Altstätten, or a stroll through Appenzell. During the summer, guests can swim in Lake Constance, and St. Gallen with its UNESCO World Heritage Site is not far away either.
