Kaien Nature's Friends is located between Heiden and Rehetobel at 1,100m above sea level.

With its large reception room which can accommodate up to 60 people, this meeting place is ideally suited to large gatherings for companies, schools, training courses or celebrations. At the weekend refreshments and food are provided and the house is a popular leisure destination.
38 people have room to sleep in the building. There are five 4-bed, two 6-bed and one 5-bed dormitories. The washrooms, showers and toilets are communal. Woollen blankets and duvets are provided. Bedclothes for the 4-bed rooms can be hired for an additional fee. The large, modern kitchen can be used by the guests during the week. At the weekend food must be ordered from the house warden.
There are a variety of leisure and games facilities available in and around the house: a games room, a large play area, a table tennis table and table football. On site there is also a barbecue hut with a charcoal grill and firepits.
This group accommodation is 20 minutes walking distance from the Postauto bus stop. The bulding can also be reached by car (carpark below the building, parking fee CHF 2.00). Free car parking is available in Rehetobel. Appenzellerland is an attractive location offering a variety of group activities. The ski resort is 3 kilometers from the house and can be reached by car in 10 minutes.
