Ethnology Museum
The museum’s main themes are the Appenzell mountain farm culture and textile home industry.
Does all that sound a bit dry ...? Not at all! Because there are live activities taking place in the museum all the time. Cheesemaking in the alpine hut, weaving at the satin-stitch loom, embroidery at the manual stitching machine.
A special exhibition on the topic of “If it helps, it is good – Appenzell healing traditions” is on display in the museum until October 2020.
