Chindlisteiweg
The Chindlisteiweg east of Heiden village is a signed trail leading past a rock formation with mysterious hollows, holes and grooves. The most famous of these is Chindlistein rock near the hamlet of Raspeln. Did this distinctive rock function as a quarry or a place of ritual in ancient times? We can only speculate about its meaning. In any case the Chindlistein is a place vibrating with energy – and also boasting a breathtaking outlook! To reach it, hikers walk uphill across meadows and through forests from Heiden.
