This tour starts at the foot of Mount Säntis, from the Schwägalp mountain restaurant. Across snow-covered meadows, the trail follows the established hiking trail network (not specially prepared for winter) to the Chammhalde SAC hut. After leading through an idyllic forest and across moors (watch out for melting snow), the route continues onwards towards Kronberg mountain. This unique landscape is particularly impressive during the winter. The route passes mountain pasture after mountain pasture in their winter sleep. With Mount Säntis behind, the hiker now approaches Kronberg mountain; the last part is the steepest.
