Explore the region around the village of Schwellbrunn on silent, supersized soles along three routes approved by the Swiss snowshoe association (Schneeschuhverband Schweiz, SVS). They all boast fantastic views of the area and most of them are also accessible in spring, summer and autumn since they mostly lead along official hiking trails. Snow-shoers move at a height of 800 to 1,000 metres above sea level, so fog is rarely an issue. The trails start in Schwellbrunn and there is plenty to discover in this historic village of national significance with its many beautiful houses. The age-old cultural customs and traditions are part of the identity of the people living here. Agriculture is in evidence everywhere, and the hills and valleys are dotted with farmsteads.
