This slightly longer hike starts at Landmark car park on the Ruppenpass. It can also be reached by Postbus from Trogen or Heiden. The trail towards Gäbris winds over the Suruggen in a large loop. It offers an impressive view of the Alpstein and over the Rhine valley into the Vorarlberg Alps. There are barbecue areas along the way. The Unterer and Oberer Gäbris (closed until 2025) inns offer good refreshment options. The hike goes back the same way.
