From Urnäsch station via Feld, you walk past the former Chräg retirement home. From there, the trail leads up to Zimmermannslauftegg, with fantastic views of the Appenzellerland and Lake Constance. Then you head towards Blattendürren. The Osteregg mountain restaurant with its cosy terrace is well worth a little detour. Invigorated, you can descend towards the village.
