FROM KAIEN TO ST. ANTON
This hilly trail leads to St. Anton. After the ascent at the start, hikers can take a deep breath and enjoy fantastic views of the region. After Kaien the trail then again leads uphill. The route, mostly on asphalt, leads along open meadows and farms. Cows, horses and donkeys line the road. From Tanne, the ascents and descents are softer. From this high plateau you can see more and more mountains as you approach St. Anton. On one side the vista stretches as far as the Austrian Alps, on the other side majestic Mount Säntis towers over the landscape.
