Friedensweg - paths to humanity

This 3 to 3.5-hour hiking trail through the Appenzell Foreland passes 10 stations dedicated to people who have selflessly and courageously helped others, all of them with strong links to the Appenzell Foreland.

Red info cubes provide information on the moving life stories of these women and men. Walkers can use QR codes to access more detailed historical facts on the featured personalities on their smartphones or tablets.

The trail leads from Heiden to Walzenhausen and features unique views of Lake Constance. It is also possible to walk this trail in two legs or in the other direction, from Walzenhausen to Heiden.
