Panorama Bike stage 1

With every metre of ascent up to Rorschacherberg the view of Lake Constance becomes more impressive. The sounds of its waters are still ringing in our ears, yet it now unfolds its full splendour from the heights.

While we are still fascinated by the view of Lake Constance, another eye-catching view is already towering in front of us: the Säntis. The magnificent rocky peak towers mightily above the lovely Appenzell countryside, through which we are now winding along country and gravel roads – past farmhouses lovingly decorated with flowers, watched by cows chewing the cud, the soundscape resonating with babbling brooks and singing birds. The village of Trogen, the destination of the first stage, is also such an idyll.
