The route starts in Toggenburg and follows the Thur river and various other streams. You will pass through many pretty Toggenburg villages.  The route leads via Degersheim into the Appenzellerland. Breathtaking views of the scattered villages and farms of the Appenzellerland as well as Mount Säntis, the “King of the Alpstein”, are guaranteed. At the end of this leg, be enchanted by the picturesque old town of historic Herisau.
