Old mill Wolfhalden

The Old Mill is a five-storey building on the Gstaldenbach, built in 1789, with unique paintings in the parlor - an art-historically significant architectural monument!

In 1789, master miller H.H. Zürcher had a stately, five-storey building erected on the Gstaldenbach in Wolfhalden. The building housed the family home as well as a grist mill, a bakery and an inn. Zürcher had the walls and ceiling in the parlor completely painted. The paintings are well preserved and make the ensemble a unique treasure.
The Old Mill is located in the municipality of Wolfhalden, in Tobel, Hinterergeten, close to the border with Heiden. Public guided tours take place on the last Saturday in May, June, July, August and September. Subject to change.
