Museum on the Gais Village Square

The museum on the village square is home to the graphic collection founded in 1972.

Prints and watercolours show views of the village from the period between 1750 and 1900, when Gais was a very popular whey spa destination.

Many of the more than one hundred works were used to illustrate travel journals and history books. Larger-format works were mainly sold to spa guests. Today, they are seen as vivid illustrations of the village’s history.
Special exhibitions are centred around a variety of Gais-related topics.

Guided tours for groups on request.
