Heiden steeple
Enjoy the far-reaching views from the «Häädler» steeple. Climb 157 steps to the tower room.
The first church in Heiden was built in 1652, after the separation from its parent church in Thal. After the population had doubled to 2,300, the town decided to build a new church in 1836. On 8 May 1838, the foundation was laid for the new steeple to the north-west of the old church.
From the steeple in Heiden the view across Lake Constance stretches far beyond the German and Austrian shores. On a good day one can see as far as Ulm.
The steeple in Heiden is open from May to October.
