Grub rope bridge

This new attraction in the Appenzeller Foreland is 180 metres long.

Since April 2019 the two villages of Grub AR and Grub SG have been connected once again via an attractive, 180-metre-long rope bridge across the Mattenbach stream. The popular hiking route across the canton border from Frauenrüti Grub AR to the Grünau Grub SG region can therefore be walked again in its entirety.

The bridge is not suitable for people who are afraid of heights. At its highest point, the bridge is around 40 metres above the bottom of the ravine.

Visit the bridge as part of a hiking tour!
